Carter Brown Catering is a business devoted to using fresh, organic ingredients, foraged at their peak of goodness, from local farms, fishing docks and markets. We realized that people wanted simple, seasonal food, like what we were making in the restaurants. The events we cater are some of the most important events of people's lives. Our goal is that these celebrations center around food that is wholesome, delicious, pure, and socially conscious. We want to help people plan wonderful parties. Then, we want them to eat well, drink well, and feel well cared-for.
We help our clients design menus that are seasonal, simple, elegant and tailored to specific events. By designing meals seasonally, we can ensure that the ingredients we use are ripe and fresh, and at their peak of goodness. We cook the food ourselves (with help of course) for each event. We always want to be in the kitchen, tasting the food, making sure it's perfect. We firmly believe in a hands-on approach to working with our clients and designing every aspect of each event.
In addition to the planning and cooking, we take time out to shop for the best organic ingredients in the Bay Area. Following our personal and professional traditions, we comb the farmer's markets for the highest quality produce, and use only organic dairy and meats. We work with small, local farms to get the best ingredients available. Then we cook them simply and well and let the ingredients speak for themselves. We buy from local suppliers with whom we are on a first-name basis. Our experience has taught us that using organic ingredients not only fosters community between producers and consumers and protects the local environment, but also guarantees the freshest, tastiest, and most beautiful meals you will ever enjoy.
